Field Health

PARENT PAGE Field Hygiene Smoking Eye Drops Insect Repellent

Your overall health can have great bearing on your ability to function in the field.  Further, being outdoors can easily affect your state of health.  Distractions arising from poor personal hygiene, foreign matter in one's eye, bothersome insects, and so forth can all pull your attention away from your work making you miserable in the process and possibly necessitating a time consuming and potentially expensive visit to the doctor.

Field Hygiene -- Keeping clean outdoors, cleaning yourself without water and in delicate environments, using ultraviolet light and drying against bacteria, lots of other tips.
Smoking -- How it acts as a MAJOR hindrance to the practice of field work and the SERIOUS problems (forest fires, cancer, explosions, etc.) that can arise from it.
Eye Drops -- Consider this essential to most field work.
Insect Repellent -- What to use for mosquitoes versus flies.
