Poisonous Plants

Poisonous plants are found in many countries in a variety of forms including bushes, vines, shrubs, sparse undergrowth and tall trees.  Before traveling overseas for field work, check up on any poison plants you might find there.  For example, Che-chem is a tree that behaves much like poison ivy.

Poison Parsnip -- Causes a condition known as photodermatitis (hence the icon of the sun).  Pictures, where found, symptoms, treatment.

Poison Ivy, Poison Oak and Poison Sumac -- Range maps, photos and drawings, dangers associated with, symptoms, treatment.
Sting Nettle -- where found, symptoms, treatment, photos.
